LONDON 2012 -- AMAZING!

What is the most exiting sporting event in the world? The Super Bowl? The soccer World Cup? The Tour de France? Many people agree with this, but I definitely don't. I love the Super Bowl, the World Cup, and the Tour de France, but it just doesn't compare with the Olympics.
The summer Olympics, this year held in London, are irresistible. One time, I even found myself cheering when team USA scored a goal in water polo! Most of the time I stayed up until 12 o'clock in the morning either watching Gabby Douglas lead team USA in gymnastics, or Michael Phelps brake world records here and there. Then I'd wake up bright and early to see the US woman's soccer team!
The sporting events were all great, but what really amazed me was the opening ceremony; so much time and effort must have been put in to doing that!

BAJA FRESH, A+

The other day, my family and I went on a shopping spree, and decided to stop off at -- as the title implies -- BAJA FRESH, a wonderful mexican fast-food chain. I, a quickly growing 13 year old, need to eat as much as  possible. However, I didn't find myself that hungry so I chose something light ( or that's what I thought); a fajita.
As it turns out, my fajita consisted of a big side fried rice and beans, huge dollops of sour cream and guacamole, long pieces of chicken, and a mountain of roasted vegetables. It was on cardboard plate with individual sections for every element. Oh, and I was also handed 3 corn tortillas along with small sides of every mexican sauce you could imagine.
Do you remember how I said I wasn't too hungry that day? Well, I ate every once of food on my plate, not to mention the rest of my brother's kid's meal that was gone in two seconds. So the bottom line is that BAJA FRESH is a great fast-food chain with amazing customer service, and good fajitas!

The EURO 2012 -- FRANCE

Now I don't know if you're  a big soccer fan, but I certainly am (after all, I am a 13 year old living in France ).I also don't know if you've been watching the EURO 2012 lately -- once again I certainly have been. Of course, I support France like crazy and watch any of their games I can watch.
Unfortunately, they're not the team they used to be a few years ago. some of their key players at the time don't play soccer anymore, which is a great shame. Nevertheless, I have still been following them during the European Cup of 2012...Their coach, Laurent Blanc has been coaching France for a while now, and continues to search for ways to win. The EURO 2012 was a somewhat successful tournament for them; first, they played England and tied them 1-1. Then they played Ukraine and got a 2-0 victory. Finally, they had to face Sweden and lost 2-0. So it turns out that France advances to the 'knock-out' stage... they would have to deal with Spain, the defending champs. I did not expect France to put on any show for me, and despite their 2-0 loss, they were determined to play their hardest and not give up!

THE HUNGER GAMES(the book)
As a reminder of the rebellion in District 13, Panem, a country once known as North America, has  one girl and one boy from each of the 12 districts compete to the death in the HUNGER GAMES. Only 1 of the 24 children comes out alive.
Katniss Everdeen, becomes district 12's girl tribute after volunteering to save her sisters life. Peeta Mellark is chosen to be the boy tribute for district 12.
At the Capitol (the main district in Panem), Peeta admits that he has always been in move with Katniss in an interview. This upsets Katniss because she now owes Peeta.
In the arena where the have to fight, the announcer says that 2 tributes from the same district can win this year

I'm not going to tell anymore of the story because i'll spoil the fun. This book may seem a tad violent    to people because after all the goal of the HUNGER GAMES is to kill all of your enemies, but believe it or not it is also a love story. Remember, read it before you watch it because the book is always better!!!
